Think natural juices & flavours, spices, infusions, fruit purées, and essential oils. Agar-agar, a natural, plant-based gelling agent maintains their condition. The spice pencils also have apple cider vinegar and salt to preserve their freshness. Food Crayons have a great shelf life, up to 12 months. Once opened, keep them in the refrigerator in their tube for the best freshness.

One or two shavings go a long way, making them perfect for home cooks. Use 5-10 shavings for a plate, or 1-2 shavings for an appetizer or cocktail. Each pencil gives approximately 120 shavings.
