The Company of the Black Spears is the Lethbridge chapter of the Heavy Armored Combat Sports Association (HACSA). They train in Historical European martial arts (HEMA) recreationally and competitively. The training is partly for fun, but also in preparation for local, national and international tourneys.
Featuring sword-fighting, lances, jousting, and pole-work, the high intensity training goes well with coffee! Purchasing a bag of their specially prepared coffee helps fund their events, training, and growth. Participants might represent a time from before coffee was recognized and known, but they appreciate it none-the-less! From every bag of coffee sold, $5 goes back to the club.
