Bali Catur Medium Roast features some very special green beans from Kintamani, Bali (part of Indonesia). The resulting coffee features a unique flavour profile because of the carbonic maceration used during the processing from cherries to beans. This process is similar to wine-making and gives similar flavours. Oxygen changes how the fermentation process works, so this process minimizes the oxygen. As these whole coffee cherries ferment in an airtight environment, the resulting beans have distinct fruity and winey notes.
There’s so much happening in the Bali Catur Medium Roast. We found traditional fruity notes of cherry and light lime, enhanced with tropical fruit notes of papaya and banana. A touch of balsamic then comes through, followed by a warm hint of bourbon. We think this coffee is amazing in a pour-over, and we’re excited to try it as a French press too. We only have a limited amount coming, and it will only be here once. Get your special treat while you can… it won’t be here long!
