Meet Kate “The Gr8” Clements, a professional Muay Thai fighter. Kate trains out of Progressive Fighting Academy (PFA) in Lethbridge. She has been training Muay Thai for over 12 years and has 13 amateur fights. She won the IKF World Classic Novice 13-14 Girls Kickboxing Title and the TBA World Classic 16-17 Girls Muay Thai Title. In March 2022, she won the Challenger Canadian Bantamweight title. Most recently she won the WKA Bantamweight North American Title. In her amateur career she’s had the opportunity to fight some of the highest level girls in North America. Kate’s career has taken off over the last two years, and since November 2021 she’s been on a five fight win streak.
Recently, Kate signed her first Professional Muay Thai contract. On June 17, 2023 she will be making her professional debut. She is fighting for the Professional WBC Canadian Bantamweight Title. WBC is one of the most prestigious titles in the fight world. To get the opportunity to fight for the Canadian title is huge. As a result, her fight requires huge time and commitment. Her whole world revolves around fighting and training. She spends 6 days a week training for two hours a day. Training, food prep and recovery takes up pretty much every minute of her day-to-day life. The investment into fighting takes a financial toll. There are costs beyond coaching and gym fees. These include strength and conditioning, nutrition coaching, and increased food costs. There’s also the time away from work to prepare and train.
All proceeds from “The Gr8” Coffee blend help fund Kate’s training camp. With your help, she can go into this fight as the strongest, fastest, best version of herself. Grab a bag and fuel your day while helping Kate on her journey to the WBC Title!
