Grown on the coffee plains at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, our Tanzania Peaberry is a stand-out coffee. The aroma is delightful – when we cupped this Tanzania, we were blown away by the sun-dried tomato and pepper. Flavour-wise, you’ll get savoury hints of walnut, tobacco, cedar. The hallmark peppery finish which will surprise and enchant you. “Peaberry” is a term applied to coffee cherries that have only one bean in the cherry, an anomaly in the coffee growing world. This means that all the flavour that is normally split between two beans is packed into one. Nature, we love you. <3 This is such a unique coffee – it has the complexity of all African coffees, with that extra lift from the peppery notes.
We wanted a label that represented the coffee’s unusual nature. So we based it on original Tanzanian artwork that we purchased from the artist. Ni nzuri! (“It is beautiful” in Swahili.)
