Wood’s Homes provides safe spaces for youth, and support for families in Lethbridge. Services include counselling, mobile outreach and culturally-sensitive support. They also provide support through referrals and navigation of youth health systems. Wood’s Homes has a family-centred philosophy and recognize all definitions of family. One of their programs is the Youth Support Navigators. Youth Support Navigators help youth connect with the right support when it’s needed. They help manage challenges big or small and access community services and supports. The final goal is to enhance youth’s connection to culture and community. The hopeful outcome is they are able to live a healthy lifestyle. For immediate needs support, Wood’s Homes offer food, clothing and a warm bed. This is for homeless or at-risk under 18 youth in crisis. Wood’s Homes also offer counselling. This comes through no charge walk-in services, by phone, text, LiveChat and e-therapy.
