Chemex ChemAer 8 Cup Pour Over

The Chemex ChemAer 8 Cup Pour Over is the latest in the Chemex line. The ChemAer offers an additional design feature to explore the nuances and flavors of coffee after brewing. Once brewed, swirl the coffee against the paddles on the sides to aerate and cool it.This changes the flavors beyond the initial extraction, which is where the experimentation comes in. This same feature actually makes the ChemAer a good wine decanter as well… just saying!

Chemex Pour Overs are famous for their form. They’re also the only pourovers on permanent display in the Smithsonian Museum. Chemex was developed by a pair of bored, coffee-deprived chemists in the 1940’s. All their brewers are made from non-porous borosilicate, which will not impart any flavor or chemical residue. These sharp and very functional brewers are the go-to for our roaster, Josh, when he’s testing a new coffee for Cupper’s.
